Giulio Romano, The Emperor Claudius I Mounted on a White Charger
This painting was formerly in the collection of Federico Gonzaga, the Duke of Mantua c. 1537. It was later acquired by King Charles I of England from Duke Vincenzo II of Mantua, c. 1627-8. It was exhibited at the Gonzaga Collections at PALAZZO TE, Mantua 2002.
